• BEE VERIFICATION SERVICES - BEE Verification is an independent audit process aimed at verifying and validating the Broad-Based BEE Status of a legal entity. It is the most accurate, independent and cost effective way for businesses to establish and present their BEE status. A Broad-Based BEE Verification certificate and Report confirming the measured enterprises status is issued to the client at the end of this process. We measure a company's effort and involvement in all areas of BEE such as:
  
  
  • Direct empowerment (Ownership and Management Control)
  • Human resources development (Employment Equity and Skills development)
  • Indirect empowerment (Preferential procurement, Enterprise Development and Socio Economic Development)
  Verifications are based on the DTI's Broad-Based BEE Scorecard contained in the Codes of Good Practice on Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (Codes) as gazetted on 9 February 2007 and as amended from time to time. In terms hereof companies are scored out of a possible 100 points in the above categories. Businessess can be verified according to the Generic Scorecard (annual turnover in excess of R35 million) or the Qualifying Small Enterprises Scorecard (businesses with an annual turnover between R5 million and R35 million). We also verify the BEE status of Exempt Micro Enterprises (businesses with a turnover below R5 million) against their turnover figures.
• SUPPLIER BEE TRAINING - Most suppliers have insufficient knowledge of the Black Economic Empowerment framework. With better information these service providers can easily boost their levels of BEE compliance. This will, in turn, impact positively on the Preferential Procurement score of all those procuring from them. The education is facilitated through training workshops. Such workshops aim to provide suppliers with a thorough understanding of the BEE environment and are conducted by AQRate staff to audiences of up to 50 attendees.
• MANAGEMENT BEE TRAINING - Many companies are generally unfamiliar with the intricacies of good BEE management. Our services aim to educate and point your staff & management in the right direction towards effective and focused BEE implementation. We are of the belief that the regulatory environment is relatively complex and present smaller companies with additional administrative requirements that are very difficult to manage. Our in-depth in-house training program will equip your staff and management on how to implement and monitor an effective BEE strategy thus resulting in a higher BEE Status.
• PRE-DEAL OWNERSHIP VERIFICATION - Many companies are seeking BEE partners in order to fulfill the ownership criteria of the BEE scorecard. Our PRE-DEAL OWNERSHIP VERIFICATION allows companies to independently determine the ownership points that will be obtained on the BEE scorecard should such a deal materialize.
